FEMA Map Modernization Outreach Meetings

In coordination with FEMA, the Northwest Florida Water Management District is holding outreach meetings.

The objectives of these meetings are:

• To explain the FEMA Program and ensure an understanding of the Map Modernization Program;
• Introduce to the public officials and interested parties to the technical requirements of the program;
• Ensure that proper lines of communication are established in each of the counties;
• Seek input on problem flooding areas within the counties;
• Review schedule and status of projects;
• Determine additional information that may be provided by the local governments to support the program; and
• Take input and answer any questions.
